‘The Fundamentals of Business; is a duet work created by John-William in 2019.
The Fundamentals is a satirical and absurd performance-like presentation, delivered by two salespeople on behalf of the fictional Ball Point and Company. Created as a satire of a hyperbolised capitalist work-place The Fundamentals was originally commissioned as a site-specific work for Noorderlicht Festival 2019 (BE), performed upon a conference table inside a meeting room and was later reworked for stage.
The piece marked the first work John-William created in collaboration with Jasmine Lily Norton, and the beginning of Another Collective; a dance theatre collective founded by both artists in 2019.
